Address verification
If you want to apply for a Dutch VoIP number, you must have a company in the Netherlands or be resident. That is why we ask for proof of this, for example by means of a rental contract or showing the energy bill of your Dutch address.
Address verification is required by law
Every telecom provider in the Netherlands is obliged to perform an address verification. This means that it must be checked whether you as a customer actually have an address in the Netherlands. If not, no Dutch telephone number may be issued.
Performing an address verification can easily be done by, for example, showing a rental agreement or a utility bill of the address of your home or business. That’s all it really is!
As a business customer, are you already using PriOffice and/or PriPost?
If you are a business customer of PriPost and/or PriOffice, we already have a Chamber of Commerce extract from your company and then the address verification will be automatic during your application for the telephone number. In that case, you do not have to provide additional proof to perform the address verification.
